Hackathon (the combination of words hack and marathon), sometimes named as a codefest, is at least a one-day workshop where IT specialists work intensively on a particular software project or projects. Thus it has a predetermined goal and ends with some “tangible” output, respectively software. Typically, there is a relaxed atmosphere in self-governing teams during programming. At Ackee, we like to organize hackathons and visit them as well!
