The tester’s task is to look for bugs, then ensure their correction (either by himself or by reporting to another employee) and eventually reconsider if the bugs are really repaired. Sometimes the tester does not even look for bugs, only checks the list of previously reported bugs to see if they are already fixed. In Ackee, we have a tester department that is responsible for every output that goes to the client.
UX designer, or “designer of user experience”, solves the different aspects of interaction between the end-user and the specific product, thanks to analyses it tries to prevent future problems. It proposes functional and useful solutions to ensure a positive relationship with a user of a given product and to guide him/her into a precisely planned experience – UX.
Wireframe (sketch of the web) is the project documentation of the new web. It is used to develop applications for previewing a new solution – it is a design that defines the content and function of the web pages themselves, while wireframe does not define a graphical design but purely indicative placement of functional elements on the page. We write about usage of wireframe in our UX blog report.
HockeyApp is a servise for testing applications. Beta testers and customers can download the app from here, and their feedback gets back to developers. It is a tool for testing mobile applications by monitoring user behavior and error logging. In Ackee, we are able to easily deliver the test versions of mobile apps to the client.
UX design, or “user experience”, is about the practical aspects of interaction between the end-user and a particular product. Thanks to the analyses, it tries to prevent future problems. Its main purpose is to come up with functional solutions to ensure a positive relationship with the user of the specific product. The goal is to give the user an accurately planned experience – thus UX.
Benchmark is a term used in many different industries, but in computing means a sort of benchmarking test. We can test tablets, mobiles, computers, or individual algorithms. For example, we in Ackee used the Mongo database benchmark to compare two MongoDB cluster solutions.
